For this purpose, the paper uses the Panel Smooth Transition Regression (PSTR) model. The estimation results of model reject the linearity hypothesis, and estimate a continuous transition function with two regimes that gives a threshold at government efficiency of 0.185 for countries studied in this paper. Moreover the results indicate that government efficiency index, GDP growth and openness index have a negative impact on inflation rate that their impacts are increased for the values above the threshold calculated for government efficiency. The other results indicate that the coefficients of the government consumption expenditures growth and liquidity variables are positive and significant in two regimes. Though, their impacts are less in second regime. In general, the results of this study confirm the results of many other studies about positive effects of government consumption expenditure growth and liquidity and also negative effects of government efficiency index, GDP growth and openness index on inflation rate. Thus, it is recommended to reduce government size trough minimizing government personnel and its levels. It is also recommended to institutionalize accountability systems over the administrative and legal frame, and staffs professional manner in reception with citizens, and also have political stability and independence of government to central bank. These are effective ingredients in increasing the government efficiency and reduction of inflation rate.  }, keywords = {Government Efficiency,Inflation rate,PSTR Model}, title_fa = {بررسی تأثیر اثربخشی دولت بر نرخ تورم در کشورهای منتخب منطقه MENA}, abstract_fa = {با توجه به هدف پژوهش حاضر پیرامون بررسی اثربخشی دولت بر نرخ تورم و ارتباط این شاخص مهم نهادی با میزان مداخله دولت در اقتصاد و در نتیجه ترکیب مخارج دولت، این مقاله، با استفاده از رویکردی غیرخطی در قالب مدلهای رگرسیونی انتقال ملایم تابلویی (PSTR)، تأثیر اثربخشی دولت بر نرخ تورم را برای کشورهای منتخب منطقه خاورمیانه و شمال آفریقا (MENA)[1] طی دوره زمانی 2012-1996 مورد بررسی و تحلیل قرار میدهد. نتایج آزمون خطی بودن رابطه بین متغیرهای مورد بررسی، فرضیه خطی بودن را رد کرده و در نهایت، برآورد مدل PSTR، یک مدل دو رژیمی با اندازه آستانهای 185/0 را برای شاخص اثربخشی دولت در کشورهای تحت بررسی ارائه میکند. نتایج ضرایب تخمینی نشان میدهد که تأثیر اثربخشی دولت، رشد تولید ناخالص داخلی و شاخص باز بودن اقتصاد بر نرخ تورم منفی بوده و شدت این تأثیرات در مقادیر بالاتر از حد آستانهای محاسبهشده برای شاخص اثربخشی دولت، افزایش یافته است. همچنین اثر مخارج مصرفی دولت و نرخ رشد نقدینگی بر نرخ تورم در این مطالعه مثبت و معنیدار گزارش شده است به طوری که یافتههای این مطالعه، در راستای تأیید سایر نتایج حاصل از اکثر مطالعات صورتگرفته در ارتباط با جهت تأثیرگذاری متغیرهای مؤثر بر نرخ تورم قرار میگیرد. با توجه به نتیجه اصلی این پژوهش مبنی بر افزایش شدت تأثیر منفی اثربخشی دولت بر نرخ تورم در حالتی که سطح اثربخشی دولت بالاست، توصیه می‌شود برای افزایش اثربخشی دولت بر کوچکسازی اندازه دولت از طریق حداقل‌سازی شمار سطوح و مجموعه کارکنان دولتی تمرکز شود. همچنین نهادینه کردن سیستمهای پاسخگویی شفاف در چارچوب اداری و حقوقی و اصول رفتار حرفهای کارمندان در برخورد با شهروندان و نیز داشتن ثبات سیاستی و عدم وابستگی دولت به بانک مرکزی در پیشبرد اهداف خود، از عوامل مؤثر در افزایش کارایی عملکرد دولت و کاهش نرخ تورم هستند.  PSTR [1]- Middle East and North Africa}, keywords_fa = {اثربخشی دولت,نرخ تورم,مدلPSTR}, url = {https://joer.atu.ac.ir/article_1651.html}, eprint = {https://joer.atu.ac.ir/article_1651_51869975d04d3db6918daf9c574534e9.pdf} }
